
Head of the Class provides private, in-home tutoring services for students in pre-K through the 12th grade. Our services are broken down into the following programs:
- Early Education: Pre-K and Kindergarten
Our Early Education tutors use age-appropriate techniques to develop the foundational math and reading skills necessary for your student to thrive during his/her first years in a formal academic environment. - Single Subject Tutoring: 1st-12th grade
Our Single Subject program is designed for students who need extra help in a subject that is particularly challenging for them. Our Single Subject tutors will help your student review the material that he/she has learned at school and will challenge him/her with additional practice. - Academic Coaching: 1st-12th grade
Our Academic Coaching program is a comprehensive tutoring program that is ideal for students who need help organizing, completing tasks on time and developing the necessary study skills to enable them to be successful. Our Academic Coaches are knowledgeable in all subjects and will oversee every aspect of your student's academic progress, including homework completion and test preparation. - Standardized Test Preparation: 6th-12th grade
Our Standardized Test Preparation program helps students prepare for the ISEE exam and all single subject standardized tests, such as the SAT II exams and the AP exams. Our tutors will take your student through eight to twelve weeks of guided test preparation, using a method with proven results.
